Principal’s Message

Posted by

Can you believe that we are already a couple week’s into March?  Projects are in high gear at New Tech High and we are excited to hit this home stretch running.  Thank you to all of the families that were able to join us this morning for our WASC accreditation visit.

We are excited to invite you on Monday, March 27th at 6 pm for our Open House.  All students, families, and even community members are invited to attend!

We would also like to update you on a couple situation for 2017-2018.  We are excited to announce that Ms. Provenza, Mrs. Dennett, and Mr. Carlton have made the decision to retire.  We are honored for their service at New Tech High!

As well, if you have not heard, the school district is facing around a $12.4 million shortfall for next school year.  This is largely due to a projected decline in enrollment across Napa County and reduced funding from the state.  This will effect our site budget for 2017-2018 and make our efforts in fundraising through FONT even more vital to sustain the amazing experiences we are able to offer our students.  If you have not participated in this year’s Family Giving, I encourage you to participate in support of your students and their classmates.

Thank you for all you do to support the staff and students of New Tech High.

Principal Johnson
