Trust (2)

At New Tech High, students are at the center of everything we do as a school.  Being a student at New Tech High means that you get to have a unique sense of ownership over your own learning.

Culture

New Tech students understand that they are not at a “normal” school.  Throughout their four year journey, students learn what it means to live a life built on trust, respect, and responsibility. Professionalism is reflected through student agency and the family atmosphere. Our school allows students to experience what it is like to be in an environment similar to the various industries they will launch a career in.

Project-Based Learning

Academics is of the highest priority at New Tech High.  Our students learn how to develop process, build skills, and acquire content knowledge through project-based learning.  Instead of going chapter to chapter, students learn content through authentic and relevant project experiences.  Many projects include community and global partners and culminate with a product that is connected to the driving question.

New Tech High’s grading style is based around five Schoolwide Learning Outcomes:

  • Agency
  • Knowledge & Thinking
  • Collaboration
  • Oral Communication
  • Written Communication
