Wellness Counseling

Supporting students socio-emotional needs is just as important in building the culture of New Tech High.  At New Tech, we have developed a safety net to ensure that our students are have the resources available to support all of their needs.

  • School Counselor
    • Lupe Martinez-Ramirez is available for students and families to support academic needs, college going needs, and personal wellness needs.  Many times, she serves as a liaison to connect the student/family to the appropriate resource.
  • Advisors
    • Each student has an advisor that they see once a week.  These advisors can provide insight, advice, and strategies to help support student well-being.
  • Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) Advisor
    • Anne Seveska, the SEL Advisor, works with students and small groups of students on strategies for personal wellness during our Access periods.  The SEL Advisor serves as an intervention for students needing support, but not necessarily by outside agencies.
  • Community Partnerships
    • Social Worker: New Tech High has a social worker that works with families on various issues such as attendance, family concerns, and health and well-being.
    • MFT Intern: Our MFT intern meets with students in need of additional counseling support.
    • ALDEA: We have a weekly ALDEA intern that conducts groups on campus for students needing support in areas such as substance abuse.
    • Village Napa: We work with Village Napa to host community events and outreach for students and families.

Below you will find some additional resources to support student wellness in the Napa Community:
